  1. Workshop in Interactive Video and Related Multimedia Technology in
  2. Health Education using the
  3. Slice of Life Videodisc
  4.  
  5. We invite you to join us for the "Slice of Life" Workshop on Interactive and
  6. Related Multimedia in Health Education for contributors, users, and
  7. potential collaborators on the "Slice of Life" videodisc.  The disc is now in
  8. its fifth edition and is a compilation of 40,000 contributed images from over
  9. 190 people at 46 institutions, and is in use at Medical School Libraries and
  10. Learning Resource Centers in over 150 institutions.  We are very excited to
  11. bring all of these people together to improve communication and software
  12. production.  It's not too late to volunteer to present, so your colleagues can
  13. see the variety of topics, approaches, user interfaces and instructional
  14. designs that have been implemented.  Any evaluation data is also welcome;
  15. as well as a one or two page summary handout to share with others.  We will
  16. emphasize software and hardware demonstrations using the SOL, including
  17. updates on indexes, authoring systems, evaluation, and production.  Projects
  18. need not be completed, and may be demos of projects under way.
